Reset Guide
Resets are the main long-term progression on MU Battlegrounds. When your character reaches the reset level, you can start over from a low level in exchange for bonus stat points. Each reset makes your character permanently stronger, and the reset count is what decides your place in the rankings. This guide explains the exact rules currently configured on the server.
Requirements
- Your character must be at least level 400.
- You need 100,000 Zen in your inventory for every reset you are about to reach. The cost grows with each reset: the first reset costs 100,000 Zen, the second 200,000 Zen, the tenth 1,000,000 Zen, and so on.
- A character can reset at most 10 times.
- When you reset through the player portal, you must be fully logged out of the game with the whole account, not only the character. This prevents the game server from overwriting the reset with an older save.
What happens when you reset
- Your character goes back to level 1 and your experience starts over.
- Your stats are kept. The stat points of the reset are added on top of what you already have.
- You receive 0 stat points for every reset.
- Bonus points from quests that increase your points per level, like the hero status quest, are kept: the extra points you would have earned from level 1 to 400 are added to every reset.
- Your character is moved back to the home town of its class.
- Your items, inventory, vault, guild and master level are not affected.
Costs and rewards per reset
The table shows what selected resets cost and grant with the current settings. Classes with a special points value (for example Dark Lords and Magic Gladiators on some configurations) may receive a different amount.
| Reset | Zen cost | Stat points granted |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100,000 | 0 |
| 2 | 200,000 | 0 |
| 3 | 300,000 | 0 |
| 5 | 500,000 | 0 |
| 10 | 1,000,000 | 0 |
How to reset
- Level your character to the required level and collect the Zen you need in your inventory.
- Log out of the game completely.
- Log in to this website with your game account using the login panel at the top of the page (or create an account first), then open your characters.
- Choose the character and press Reset. The portal checks every requirement and tells you exactly what is missing if something isn't met.
- Log back into the game, distribute your new stat points and start leveling again.
Tips for faster resets
- Save Zen between resets. The cost grows with each reset, so selling unneeded items and collecting Zen drops early pays off later.
- Plan your stat build before you reset. Most players put enough points into the main stat of their class to wear their gear, then add vitality for survival.
- Use Happy Hour and party experience bonuses to level faster. Check the event schedule for the times.
- The offline leveling command lets your character keep hunting while you are away.
